While a new graduate, Zaynab differentiated herself from her pharmacy school peers by combating health rumors and misinformation in her local community through social media. Then, in order to sustain her social activity, she turned it into a small business. In her talk she spoke about how she used her activity to help spread health awareness in the community and her vision to be a social entrepreneur. Zainab Alaa holds a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Basra University and holds a diploma in healthy nutrition for obesity and nutrition for pregnant women from the British University of Leeds, and she is currently studying in the Hospital Nutrition Board from the same university.

Zainab will talk about her passion development in pharmacy in general and nutrition in particular, the challenges she faced and overcame, her experience in the field of pharmacy and how she used her field of work to correct health rumors in the community This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
