Do you think you have what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur? In this video, I look at four traits that make all the difference when building a business.

The first trait is thinking differently. When first starting out, many people have doubts about if they can do it, and whether or not they’re going to fail. Everyone has fears and doubts. However, successful business owners tend to cope with those fears by working alongside them and asking themselves how they’ll make it work rather than if they’ll make it work.

The second trait is showing up consistently. Don’t wait for motivation. It’s like a job. You get up whether or not you want to, and you do your job. As a successful entrepreneur, you just show up regardless -- that’s how you get to where you want to be.

Third, it’s important to be a fast action-taker. Again, it’s not that successful people don’t have fears and doubts, rather, they take action despite those fears. The most successful clients that I work with tend to go out and carry out my suggestions right away and see the benefits. That attitude carries them far and leads to even more successes down the line.

The fourth and final trait is looking backwards rather than forwards. People do best when they look back at how far they’ve come, rather than at how much more they have left to do. The work -- the journey -- never ends. If you always look at how much left you have to do, rather than at your achievements, you’ll tend to feel overwhelmed.

Being an entrepreneur is not for everyone. It’s a journey that takes dedication and grit. But with these four traits, you’ll be able to succeed no matter what.
