Top 5 Mistakes Most Shopify Dropshipping Entrepreneurs Make:

These mistakes might seem like simple things at first but they are crucial when it comes to growing your business the right way. If you avoid these mistakes you will be able to start with consistency and a proper foundation to scale thereafter.

NOT HAVING SYSTEMS:

Not having systems will keep you scrambling and throwing random things at the wall especially when you’re testing products. This will also cause you to be a lot more inefficient with your time which will drastically impact your momentum.

Not having systems will also make it much harder to replicate your success if you happen to find a winning product, you won’t know what specific things led it to become a winning product and it will take you a long time to do it again.

NOT HAVING PROPER INCOME OR AD SPEND:

A lot of these “gurus” online will tell you, you don’t need much money saved up or any income to start a dropshipping business. You don’t have to be rich to start this business model like some other business models out there, you do need a decent amount of savings or income to start your business properly.

Dropshipping is all about testing, it usually takes about 20 products to find a winner. Every time you test a product you have to spend money on ads to market this product.

Someone who does have the capital to properly test all 20 products will blitz through their testing and find a winning product much quicker.

NOT HAVING A RELIABLE SOURCE OF INFORMATION:

One of the most detrimental things most people encounter when first starting dropshipping is piecing together all this random information from many different sources.

The best advice I can give you on this mistake is to find one proven system from somebody who has done this time & time again and follow it strictly. Following and sticking to one system will streamline your assets and generate proper momentum and consistency for your business.

NOT HAVING TRUE GUIDANCE:

This brings me to my next point, it is crucial to find yourself a proper mentor. You can watch every tutorial, read every book, or watch every course online but not having a mentor to help you piece that information together will stagnate your learning process.

Having a mentor allows you to ask questions and receive direct feedback on things like your products, your landing pages, your ad videos, your ad copy, and everything else in between.

This feedback will accelerate your learning tenfold and give you the foundation and consistency you need to scale your business the proper way.

NOT MANAGING YOUR EXPECTATIONS:

Rome wasn’t built in a day and McDonald’s wasn’t built for free. Some people think you can get to thousand-dollar days overnight and that couldn’t be further from the truth.

It takes time to build a business and you’re going to encounter many failures along the way. By managing your expectations properly you’ll understand this and be able to overcome these obstacles.
