Just when it seemed like things could not get any worse, new issues started occurring with the United States. Such issues are directly impacting Shopify dropshippers because of the change in buying mentality they bring.
There are many more things currently affecting Aliexpress as well, from delayed shipping times to product stock issues to product prices. While it may seem like there are too many problems, the truth is that dropshipping is no where close to dead. These are small hurdles that can be crossed with proper strategy.
When it comes to the strategy, here's what I recommend. If you plan to dropship long term, there has never been a better time than now to focus on branding. This makes it easier for you to provide a much more personalized experience to the customers with faster shipping times. In addition, you want to begin focusing more on customer service and finding products which preferably follow all the criteria laid out here:
- 95%+ positive supplier reviews
- 4 stars and above for the product
- Ships from 'United States'
- Lightweight
