On the occasion of International Women’s Day and the Beijing +30 agenda, the ILO is pleased to hold a virtual webinar on the Employment of Women with Disabilities. The panellists will talk about the challenges faced by women with disabilities to access the labour market. Including societal perceptions as being unfit to fulfil traditional roles and expectations and how this impacts their access to decent work. Topics such as multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination based on gender, disability status and race will be explored, as well as violence and harassment at work. The panellists will also talk about ways Treaty Bodies and Special Procedures can be powerful tools for advocacy on the above issues.
