The Amazon world is on fire with the implementation of Amazon's new FBA Inventory Placement Fees that went into action on March 1, 2024. With this new fee, the cost of sending inventory into Amazon's fulfillment centers has increased DRAMATICALLY -- in many cases, as much as 3x or more.
Fred McKinnon walks you through a live inbound shipment creation showing you the impact of this new workflow. It includes a look at the Amazon Optimized Shipment Splits, as well as their Minimal or Partial Shipment Splits and the fees involved with each of those choices.
In the end, there's no way to get around it ... this is going to cost Sellers a LOT more money, which means those increased costs will likely be passed on to the Amazon Shopper.
If there's any possible way of protesting this with Amazon, I suggest you do so!
