In this video Sadie shares her experience with these washable reusable sanitary towel period pads in a quick review. She covers a direct comparison of the reusable period pads vs disposable ones, how long the pads last, how to use them, how to clean, the benefits of using them, designs, and more.

She decided to try these ones as they are better for the environment and as the market is flooded with different types for different flows, it can get quite confusing but hopefully this video will shed some light so that you can make the best choice for you.

One reusable pad usually lasts between 4-5 hours depending on how heavy your flow is. To use the pad, you place it on top of your underwear and attach it with the clip. Things that make these better than disposable ones is the absorbency, comfort, being eco friendly, and healthier due to them not being scented. Even though these cost more as an upfront cost, buying these instead of disposable ones will save you money long term, especially because of the price of inflation.

These period pads are revolutionary but here are some negatives with the washable pads: They are made from a thick fleece-type material and can get quite warm as it doesn't allow as much air circulation.

Main concerns were that they would leak and would quickly get stained, however this was not the case and most stains can be removed. To clean them take the pad off, fill up the sink or a bowl with cold water. Place the pad in there for 20 minutes to 1 hour, squeeze the pad out, replace the water. Once all of the blood has been removed, you can put them in the washing machine.
