Selling on ebay is not going to easy for new eBay sellers and there are some negatives that you need to be aware of so that you can prepare yourself in the best possible way.
Over the many years of me building various different eBay stores, I've learnt that is very important to be aware of any potential obstacles that you're going to be able to overcome them as a new eBay seller.
Most new eBay sellers only research 'how to sell on eBay', on either YouTube or Google, when in reality is also good to research any potential disadvantages of starting an eBay business.

The main disadvantages that most people need to know when it comes to starting an eBay business as a complete beginner.
1) for example you have to deal with the control that eBay has of your business. Most new eBay sellers don't realise that you do not actually own your eBay account, eBay in fact on your eBay account. I know in this what allow you to now build up external streams of revenues that you're not reliant on just one stream of income coming just from eBay.
2) another disadvantage to selling on eBay, and when most people end up thinking that eBay is dead is due to all of the scammers that are on eBay. But just like with any other online business or e-commerce business you are always going to have to deal with one type of scam or another. In this video I discuss exactly what you need to think about as a new eBay seller when it comes to dealing with different types of eBay scams.
3) one of the big disadvantages of running any e-commerce business including an eBay business is that you have to deal with slow sales days. About this what I mean is that there may be days where you get less sales than the previous day. But it's very important to remember that this is just a normal part of building up an eBay business, if you're aware of this you're going to be able to do your business in a way that you're going to be able to generate income for multiple different streams of income, which is what I discussed in this video.
