The eBay VeRO Program Explained

eBay created the Verified Rights Owner (VeRO) Program to allow owners of intellectual property to report eBay listings that infringe on their rights. Companies that participate in the VeRO program can report listings that violate trademark, copyright, and patent infringements. Oftentimes, eBay sellers don’t realize that they’ve overstepped these legal boundaries when listing items for sale on eBay. Therefore, when a listing is deemed a “VeRO Violation” eBay removes the listing and notifies the seller about why their listing was reported.

All sellers on eBay are responsible for ensuring that any item they list on eBay is authentic, and that the listing description doesn’t infringe on the rights of others. In this video, I’ll explain the VeRO program in depth, and share with you what you should do if you receive a VeRO strike. If you educate yourself on eBay’s VeRO program, you won’t have any issues with selling and will have lots of success as an eBay seller!
