I started my online journey with no clue about how to run a successful online store.

I didn't let that stop me though.

I learned everything I could about E-commerce, from building and managing websites to shipping and logistics to customer service and retention.

I invested in courses, books, podcasts, and mentors.

I experimented with different platforms, tools, and strategies.

I made mistakes, but I also made progress.

Back in 2012, I built a successful Shopify website that attracted customers. I can easily say that mine was one of the first online stores in the UAE.

3 years later, in 2015, I hired a Web Development Team to build a WordPress (WooCommerce) website and I managed the backend work myself.

I optimized inventory management, shipping, and logistics as we were importing products from the US and the UK.

I not only delivered excellent customer service which resulted in repeat customers but also built a loyal community through our YouTube channel and Facebook Group.

We went from a boutique store selling just 40 products to an art supply ‘supermarket’ of sorts selling 3000 products, in just 3 years.

All with the profit we were earning ourselves. No bank loans, no debt.

Along the way, I upskilled myself in SEO, Email Marketing, Social Media Marketing, WhatsApp Marketing, Blog Writing, and Data Analysis.

These are the skills that helped me grow my online presence, reach more customers, and increase my sales.
