Consumers are expected to push the worth of Singapore’s digital economy to nearly US$22 billion in five years. Even though the effects of COVID-19 have downgraded previous projections by about US$6 billion, the rise of e-commerce and other emerging sectors have offset this to an extent. This is according to a report from Google, Temasek and Bain, which also expects Southeast Asia's digital economy to be worth US$300 billion by 2025.
