Shopify COO recently went onto CNBC Squawk on the Street and basically said he saw a shift coming for eCommerce sellers.
Big brands have recently reached out to him to develop a direct to consumer selling practices to cut out any middle man (wholesale).
This Rona Rona has really shifted the way we do things and has accelerated trends we saw coming in 2030, to trends we are seeing now in 2020.
Though I don't think this is the end for Amazon FBA wholesale, I do think bigger brands will start shifting their focus to selling directly to the consumer.
We saw lockdowns close down so many stores and if big brands want to survive, they need to diversify. This is a trend I do see happening and I personally will shift my efforts to more online sales (direct to consumer) rather than sell to physical stores.
