During the second part of the first AI Pact webinar, AI Office experts continued exploring the nature of the AI Act to support its smooth implementation.
This session focused on the obligations for providers and deployers to be implemented by February 2025, the regulation of General Purpose AI (GPAI) models, and the requirements for high-risk AI systems as well as the related standardisation process.
The first part of the webinar had laid the groundwork by discussing the European AI Act’s objectives, its innovative risk-based approach, and the governance structures intended to ensure its effective implementation. Building on that foundation, the second session provided deeper insights into specific obligations and regulatory requirements.
This two-part seminar series was just the beginning of a broader set of webinars on Pillar I of the AI Pact. In 2025, the AI Office PLANS to continue examining these topics in greater detail, with additional sessions focusing on High-risk AI requirements. The goal IS to equip participants with the knowledge and insights necessary to navigate and contribute to the responsible development of AI in Europe.
