Russian FM Meets PM Modi | “Thank India for not being one sided” l US threatens “consequences”

The Foreign Secretary of Britain and Foreign Minister of Russia along with the US Deputy NSA landed in India this week as the country looks to maintain its ties with its historical allies and new friends. This comes in the midst of a growing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine with the West applying harsh sanctions on Russia and India choosing to remain non-partisan. The British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss met her Indian counterpart to propose solutions to reduce India's dependence on its ties with Russia. Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar in his meeting with the Russian official said that India is always in favor of resolving disputes through diplomacy.

India continues to walk a tightrope in looking to balance its relationship with Russia and the West and with its own two-year long dispute with China nowhere close to being resolved, what does the future look like?
