The “Public Health Assessment Webinar: Performing Exposure Calculations” teaches health assessors how to evaluate quantitatively the contaminants that meet and exceed comparison values. The webinar also explains how to calculate exposure doses for ingestion and dermal contact; derive hazard quotients to evaluate noncancer hazards; calculate cancer risks for carcinogenic contaminants; and evaluate exposure to contaminants in air. Finally, the webinar teaches learners to use the ATSDR’s Public Health Assessment Site Tool (PHAST) to evaluate default and site-specific exposure scenarios.
