Singapore's National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) has urged the government to stick to its schedule of raising retirement and re-employment ages, as the number of older workers with jobs remains strong. The employment rate for workers age 65 and above rose 1% on-year in June. The labour movement has championed an increase in the retirement age to 63, and the re-employment age to 68 from the start of 2021 -- that's more than a year ahead of the national schedule.
