A prominent Dubai businessman has taken up the cause of serving and welfare of suffering humanity. PTI founder Imran Khan built the Shaukat Khanum Hospital in the name of his mother, which is no less than a blessing for cancer patients in Pakistan. Now, a prominent Dubai businessman of Afghan origin, Mirwais Azizi, has also become a beacon of light for others and is a pioneer in charitable works. He has announced a donation of 3 billion dirhams in memory of his daughter. 3 billion dirhams is equivalent to 228 billion and 300 million rupees in Pakistani currency. According to a report by Khaleej Times, this donation is the largest individual donation ever made by the private sector in the United Arab Emirates for the service of humanity. A non-profit cancer hospital will be built in Dubai with the huge amount of money, where patients will be provided free medical facilities. A research center will also be set up in the hospital, which will play its role in introducing modern technology and modern research in cancer treatment. Marwais Azizi's daughter, Farishta Azizi, was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. She initially recovered from the treatment, but after some time, she relapsed and died last year due to the same disease. Marwais Azizi told Khaleej Times that now the people of the United Arab Emirates will not need to go to Europe or any other country for the best cancer treatment. A research center as well as a medical training center will be built in the hospital. The construction of the hospital will begin this year. UAE Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has launched the Father's Endowment Campaign and this money has also been donated to this campaign. Marwais Azizi is the founder and chairman of the Azizi Group. Cancer hospitals will be established in other countries besides Dubai. Marwais Azizi has also announced a donation of Rs. 140 billion for Afghanistan, with this money the Farishta Azizi Medical City will be built in Kabul.
