In this video, we’re discussing the importance of properly integrating your subscription program with your ecommerce experience. If you want a subscription program that gets used and increases customer lifetime value, this is critical!
There are two sides to integration:
1. How it looks to the customer on the front end, on your product page
2. How the subscription program works with payments, fulfillment, and other internal processes.
Here are a few tips we’ll cover in the video:
1. Make sure it’s easy to select “subscription” or “one-time purchase” on the product page.
2. Make sure subscription items and non subscription items play nicely together in the checkout.
3. If separate checkouts are used for subscription vs. non-subscription products, you will need to manage the two experiences. If this is the case, remember that any shipping rate changes, customization, discount codes, and other items will need to be done on two checkouts.
4. Make sure the subscription platform integrates well with your customer service, your email platform, your fulfillment team/platform, etc.
