WHO AM I

Alexander Golev is a SAM and ITAM consultant since circa 2005. He has an extensive experience in IT in various roles: e-commerce architect, system integrator, DBA – until settled in the current role.

Before moving to the UK, Alexander ran his own company in Moscow, Russia that in addition to delivering SAM and System Integration services to the customers predominantly in the banking sector, also partnered with Microsoft in developing the Russian SAM community.

Alexander authored multiple trainings on SAM, Microsoft Licensing, ISO 19770-1.

Currently, Alexander helps organisations both in private and public sectors to optimise licensing costs, negotiate vendor contracts and agreements, defend the customers' position in vendor audits and integrate complex SAM services and Operating Models to make them actually work.

Main vendor skills: Microsoft, Microsoft SPLA, Oracle. Extensive experience with tools, mostly Snow LM.

AN INSANE BIT

The total money saved, defended, avoided throughout the career is over £1b. Cannot believe it myself.
