Nationally acclaimed crowdfunding industry expert Ruth E. Hedges discusses the role crowdfunding is playing with small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic in this week’s free webinar hosted by the Small Business Development Center at CSU Bakersfield.

Host and SBDC director, Kelly Bearden kicks off with latest news on SBA PPP guidance and other business assistance programs. He is joined by Hedges, founder of Crowdfundingroadmap, Inc. She was dubbed “Queen of Crowdfunding” by Forbes for her efforts to educate people about the industry and for being one of the original pioneers of legislation signed into law as the crowdfunding bill of the 2012 JOBS Act. She talks about the many options and potential of crowdfunding for viable small businesses moving forward.

This is the 29th in a weekly “Webinar Wednesday” series that provides pandemic relief updates on available federal, state, and local funding options, maximizing and restarting business options and strategies, plus other opportunities for employers and business owners.

The SBDC is open for free one-on-one consulting to help small business owners. New and existing businesses can go to www.csubsbdc.com for more information or to sign up for assistance.
