Devin Carlos Irizarry Voorsanger has pivoted so many times in life. If you're struggling in this pandemic, he's the person to talk to. Every time he decided to take a leap/risk on a new business venture, a tragedy happened. 9/11, the 2008 recession, and now COVID-19. And every time, he pivoted into something else. Devin got a history degree and quickly learned that there weren't many jobs to be earned with a history degree on its own. At one point, Devin was homeless, and then he began to teach himself HTML. He went to Barnes & Noble and read a chapter a day until they kicked him out. Fast forward, Devin is now an adjunct professor at CCNY and has started a business called Juntobot. His advice when building a product or service, LISTEN to your customers! His advice when homeless and trying to come out on the other side, be self critical but not self destructive. And his advice to students: Get all the experiences you can, so that when someone decides to "take a chance" on you, it isn't a chance. You know your stuff. Devin has so much of his story to share and so many amazing lessons to teach, so tune in to this episode for a wonderful awakening.
