When I went out looking for funding for my first business, my mother walked from bank to bank and investor to investor with me. When I was rejected, she would say: “They don’t understand your value, and they don’t know you. Don’t worry; we will meet the right people.” ????

She was right.

A good idea is important. A well thought out business plan, trustworthy partners, and capital are all crucial, but nothing is as important as having a solid support structure in your life.

My mother’s faith in me was the foundation on which I built my businesses, and it’s the cornerstone of what I am and how I perceive the world today.
