India bans PUBG along with 117 other Chinese apps: As India-China dispute continues to escalate, India has decided to ban another 118 Chinese apps which according to the government are engaged in activities that are detrimental to the integrity and security of the country. This ban also includes hugely popular mobile game PUBG which has around 50 million users in India, making the country as one of its biggest markets.

Reliance Retail acquires Future Group businesses: Reliance Retail, the subsidiary of Reliance Industries, has acquired the retail, wholesale, logistics and wholesale business of Future Group for Rs 24,713 crore. With this acquisition, Reliance Retail will gain access to more than 1,800 retail stores of Future Group including BigBazaar, FBB, and Easyday. The company can use its vast retail and logistics capabilities to expand the reach of its online grocery delivery platform JioMart to more cities.

Flipkart launches B2B e-commerce platform Flipkart Wholesale: Walmart-owned Flipkart has launched its B2B e-commerce platform Flipkart Wholesale to help small businesses to grow by connecting them directly with local manufacturers to source their products at affordable prices which will be delivered right at their shops by Flipkart. The service is currently operational in Delhi, Gurugram, and Bengaluru but the company is looking to expand it to more than 20 cities by the end of this year.

Unacademy raises $150 million to become a unicorn: Online learning platform Unacademy has raised a massive $150 million from Softbank, Facebook, Blume Ventures, Nexus Partners, General Atlantic and Sequoia Capital. With this funding, Unacademy’s valuation has jumped from $400 million to $1.45 billion, making it India’s second edtech unicorn.
Eruditus raises $113 million: Edtech startup Eruditus has raised $113 million from Leeds Illuminate, Prosus Ventures, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Sequoia Capital and Ved Capital.
Livspace raises $90 million: Livspace has raised $90 million from Kharis Capital, Venturi Partners, Singapore’s EDBI, Peugeot Group's holding company FFP, Ingka Investments, TPG Growth, Goldman Sachs, UC-RNT and Bessemer Ventures.
Dunzo to raise $28 million: Hyperlocal delivery startup Dunzo is in the process of raising $28 million in its series E round. It has already raised $15.65 million from Google and LGT Lightstone.
