Setting up a cookie banner on your WordPress website hasn't been easier than now. Just follow the steps. To get the cookie banner and to help me out at the same time, you go to https://wp.discount/cookiebot. This link is also in the comments section and in the description of this video. Now this tool serves over 7.1 billion monthly user consents. That's insane. So they know exactly how the law works, what you should do and what you should not do. to set up our website, we press on this button start trial. You can log
in with Google or Microsoft account, but I prefer to use a email address. So fill it in and press on 'Continue'. Create a really strong password. And press on 'Continue' again. Then we need to verify our email address. This email looks a bit like this. Just click on this blue text, 'Confirm your email address'. This information is not mandatory. So you can just leave it all empty if you want. I'm just going to fill it in and press on 'Next'. I need my website to meet privacy requirements for Google and other service providers. How did we hear about CookieBot? We heard it on YouTube. Let's get started. Fill in your website and then we scroll down. You can select a template. Now it doesn't really matter what template you have, because I'm in Europe. But people from all around the world visit my website. So we're going to change that later on. Then we scroll up and we press on 'Next'. Now let's configure our consent banner. The first thing is the layout. Do you want to have a big dialog or do you just want to have a bar on the bottom or on the top of your website? This is completely up to you. For this tutorial I'm going with this bar layout. Then there's also one style effect we can choose. Maybe they are going to add more, but I don't know. Slide up, a fading would be nice. A slide in from left or right would also be great to have those options in there. Then we can change the position to top or bottom. Let's go with bottom. There we go with design we can change the theme. If you have a dark website you can use this one. Or we can do it custom. And it's exactly what I want. Because my e-commerce website looks like this. So I want to style it exactly the same way. by the way, if you want to learn how to create this exact website, I've made an extensive tutorial about it right here and you can follow it along, 4 hours long. And I'll show you exactly how to build this amazing e-commerce and converting website. It really looks nice. What I want to change the text color is actually great. Is dark one. But the highlight color. I want it to be the color of my buttons in my website. You just click over here and this color picker... yeah this is a Firefox thing. It's hideous. And it's not very useful. If you're using Chrome or Edge. No problem at all. But I just go with the flow. Here we go, I've change the highlight to my corporate color from my website. Then we have the Shade, which is great. Just leave it like this. Then we have the button colors. Accept all - will also be my highlight color. Also the border will be the same. Then we go with other buttons. Allow selection and deny. We do want to have a white background and only the border to be our corporate color. Here we are. And also with number three, only the border, because we want most people to click on 'Allow all'....
