How to Create and Setup Paypal Donate Button and install in Facebook 2020

In this video we see how to create custom donate button on paypal to collect donations and add the donation link in your facebook page.

First step to create donate button in paypal, log into your paypal account. And you need to click Tools option in the top menu. This option is available only in paypal business accounts.


Next, click all Tools option from the drop down menu. Next, go to paypal buttons section and click open button.

Next, on this page you can see sample button links but we need to create custom donate button so click Create New Button link.

Here, previously there was a donate option too, some countries have donation option and for some countries paypal has removed it.

So lets see how to work around this shopping button with custom donate button. Next, enter Item Name and ID, which is optional.


Next, enter the donate amount and select the currency based on your country or a global currency like dollar.

Next, Here we need to customise the button, we want a donate button written over it and not add to cart or buy now.

So click this link Customise text or appearance. here click use your own button image option.

And next, copy the html code of the image where you have uploaded, it can be your website or social media photo sharing sites.

I have uploded my donate button on my wordpress site.

For collecting donation we dont incur any shipping or tax , so we can leave it blank. Next you can choose either the merchant ID or your paypal primary email id here.

Next, Under track inventory is for sale of goods , not required for donations. Next, we can enter more customised information like.

Choose whether donators can write anything to you when they donate and select if donators postal address is required or not.

You can enter URL of your donation website page when they cancel the payment and here, send them to thank you page when they make donation.

And finally click create button to get the button code.

Here, in this page you can either copy and paste the html code in website or wordpress blog or you can also email the donation link to people or we can enter donation link in facebook donation page.
