The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has intensified its scrutiny of e-commerce and quick-commerce companies, directing them to ensure that packaged food products delivered to consumers comply with regulations on shelf life.
The authority has mandated that sellers adhere to expiry date and labeling requirements across the entire supply chain, including storage, transportation, logistics, and handling by delivery agents.
