Government agencies in Singapore are extending help to workers retrenched by online shopping platform Lazada. CNA has not yet been able to verify how many are affected. In response to media queries about the layoffs, Lazada said it has evolved in order to ensure a sustainable business model. It added that the company is making proactive adjustments to transform its workforce to meet future business needs.
