The 31st Global Ocean Oxygen Network (GO2NE) webinar took place on 31 October 2024 and welcomed:
Tim Sweere - Earth and Planetary Sciences, ETHZ, Switzerland. A brief history of oxygen: trace elements as ocean redox proxies
Babette Hoogakker - The Lyell Center, Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom. Past ocean oxygen contents of the Pacific
and moderator Sean Crowe of the University of British Columbia, Canada.
At each webinar of this series, speakers present the latest science on the impacts of reduced oxygen in the open ocean and coastal zones. Each webinar usually features two presentations - one each from a senior scientist and an earlier-career scientist. Each presenter speaks for 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute moderated Q&A session.
GO2NE is an Expert Working Group under the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (IOC/UNESCO).
