Freelance workers expect to earn more in 2024: Fiverr

The gig economy is holding strong, with independent contractors now accounting for a substantial 4.1% of the US labor force, according to a report by Fiverr. CEO of Fiverr Micha Kaufman joins Wealth! to shed light on the importance of this growing freelance workforce.
Kaufman highlights that freelancers based in major cities tend to earn higher incomes compared to their counterparts in other areas. He cites examples such as Orlando, Miami, Las Vegas, and Houston, stating that "their participation in the pie [workforce] is just growing."
When it comes to the industries experiencing the most traction for freelancers on the Fiverr platform, Kaufman points to trademark attorneys, business statistics, and economics as notable fields. Additionally, he notes that "anything that has to do with digital transformation" and generative AI technology is also witnessing a significant surge in demand for freelance professionals.
