Over the past few months, I have built a newsletter on BeeHiiv. Here's the long term plan. We have a very clear path to $10m and beyond.

A newsletter is such a cool, attractive business. It has extreme stability & ownership of data. When it comes to growing a newsletter, you first must understand how to build a product that people love & WANT to come back to again and again.... once you do that, just throw gas on the fire with your marketing.
I identified how I wanted to monetize the newsletter, and also looked at the most common way to bring in revenue: sell ad space to companies that want exposure, and charge them a flat rate to do it. Many successful newsletters do this & make tons of money.
Once you figure out how much you can make as your list grows, you can work backwards & do the math. I identified how much I was willing to pay for a subscriber. Turns out, more than just about any other company. This gives me a leg up in my marketing efforts, allowing me to outbid everyone, and bully the competition. Which is exactly what I;ve done for a long time in my e-commerce business. The general idea is, instead of finding ways to cut costs, just find ways to increase revenue. It's easier
I started this newsletter on BeeHiiv after hearing some good things about it. It has been a great platform to work with, although not without its struggled & frustrations (just like any service). I have no current plans to change hosts.
If you have wanted to build a newsletter & grow it, I hope this video sheds some light for you. I look forward to continuing the growth of this newsletter, and building it into another media company.
