Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, said in an interview on Friday, July 17, that billions of dollars given to the states to assist with coronavirus testing needs to "get well-spent" and done properly. "We've got to do the things that are very clear that we need to do to turn this around," he told PBS NewsHour's Judy Woodruff. "We know that when you do it properly, you bring down those cases. We've done it, we've done it in New York."
