How to verify your domain for Facebook on Shopify, SquareSpace and Wordpress.
On your website - access your header code:
- In Shopify this is under Online store, edit code, theme.liquid
- Squarespace this under Settings, Advanced, Code Injection
- Wordpress you can install a header footer plugin and insert the code in the header box
- Otherwise head to the support section of your CMS/Website for your instructions
Part Two: Setup your Pixel Events in Events Manager
- Head to the Events Manager section of your Business Manager
- Click on correct Pixel from the left-hand menu
- Scroll to the bottom and head to Aggregated Web Management which is a tab next to Pixels/Conversions API
- Prioritise your 8 events by dragging and dropping
- Prioritise and hit submit.
- Until these are approved your conversion and catalogue sales campaigns may not run and changes will take up to three days to finalise so this may impact current ads
Recommended Priority Order for Ecommerce:
- Purchase
- Add Payment info
- Initiate Checkout
- Add to cart
- View Content
Recommended Priority Order for Services:
- Leads
- View Content
Keep in mind that this is a bit of a moving feast and there is a game of chicken going on between FB and Apple regarding data collection. These changes are going to impact your FB ads reporting so I suggest getting your head around using different analytics tools to track success (and not FB provided tools such as Ads Manager). You can learn more about using Google Analytics or FB Business Manager by heading to the website and enrolling on one of my courses.
