Over 1,000 people turned up to pay tribute to ‘local legend’ Jamal Edwards in Acton yesterday evening, February 21.
The 31-year-old music mogul died after a ‘sudden illness’ on 20 February
Hundreds of candles and flowers were laid underneath a mural of Jamal on Acton Lane. Mourners also left Chelsea scarves and T-shirts, as Jamal was a lifelong fan of the football team.
Alfie, a school friend of the musician, described the star as ‘one of a kind.’
People at the vigil then started singing Amazing Grace and Lean on Me.
Jamal Edwards started SB.TV, a YouTube channel responsible for launching the careers of a dozen well known stars, including Emeli Sandé, Ed Sheeran, Dave and Jessie J.
