In todays video, I will be showing you how to perform eBay product research to find hot products to sell on eBay, especially if you stock the products yourself.
This is vital to your success as an eBay seller, because doing this right means that you don't need to outlay huge amount of capital to purchase stock that just isn't going to sell.
The video starts off by going through the logic of eBay product research, and a preferred workflow that I like to use.
To do this, my principle is to always try and save time and work efficiently, and be as accurate with my work and work
to a high standard.
Our job as an eBay seller is to find a niche and product that allows us to be unique and have a competitive advantage
My research technique consists of
- finding a broad niche
- Specifying a product in that niche
- validating that product before I make any further decisions.
To do this, I analyze demand and competition with the following criteria.
I look for products with a:
- 100% sell through rate
- 40% or more success rate
- At LEAST 2 competitive advantages
Some examples of competitive advantages that I like to ensure that i have are:
- price advantage
- SEO advantage
- USP Advantage
