EBAY IN TROUBLE? | E-Commerce Industry | 3rd Quarter 2022 Earnings Results

Hi! In this video I did a third quarter earnings result analysis for Ebay, which has decreased 40% over the last year while the stock market has declined almost 20%. Ebay is a business competing in the E-Commerce industry, and it has recently reported its earnings results for the third quarter of 2022. I used a discounted cash flow model on Microsoft Excel to try and figure out what the intrinsic value of Ebay would be based on the projected free cash flow of their business. I also looked into Ebay's income statements, Ebay's balance sheets, and Ebay's cash flow statements to get a sense of how much debt they currently have as well as if they'll grow their profits in the future and also to identify what a good buying price would be for Ebay from a value investing perspective.

Ebay Issues Earnings Guidance For the Fourth Quarter 2022

1) Revenue of $2.4 billion down 5% year over year
2) Net loss of $70 million (Primarily driven by change in fair value of trading securities), down from net income of $283 million year over year.
3) Operating cash flow of $735 million
4) Free cash flow of $633 million
5) Repurchased $301 million of shares
6) Paid out $120 million of cash dividends
