E-commerce giant Amazon is planning to layoff about 10,000 people in one week
Corporate and technology jobs would suffer
Cuts will occur in the devices unit, retail division and human resources
Amazon has not confirmed the news yet
As of Dec 31, 2021, Amazon had about 1,608,000 full-time and part-time employees
US companies have been making deep cuts to brace for the economic downturn
