Christopher Garcia is the Small Business Advisor at UNM-Valencia Campus. He is a UNM Alum, receiving his Bachelors in Business Administration and Master's in Public Administration. He has many years of experience selling vintage and antique items through eBay and Etsy, and prides himself on his marketing strategies and tactics. In this workshop, we will discuss the topics outlined in Tamara E. Holmes' article, "Selling Without a Store." In this article, Ms. Holmes writes about pop-up shops, online marketplaces, food trucks, flash sales, and flea markets. Chris will go further and identify permitting/licensing requirements, stress the need for a marketing plan, demonstrate traditional and social media marketing tactics, and cover important COVID Safe Practices.
