The emergence of a clean, contactless economy has become increasingly commonplace across both Africa and the UAE, boosted by the pandemic. In Rwanda, the mobile money transactions rose fivefold during a lockdown. Meanwhile, the UAE implemented a technology-first strategy to contain the virus. In this session we will look at what the crisis taught us about innovation and ask which lessons can be used to speed up development and re-shape enterprise on the continent.
