In this video tutorial we'll go through all the steps you need in order get your online store webshop up and running. You can see the time stamps below if you want to skip to any step or see what we cover. If you follow this video and do what we show in the video then by the end of the tutorial you will have a fully functional online store up and running and powered by WooCommerce.
In the video introduction, we show you what we are going to make and how we are going to create the website. Then we'll run through a test transaction to show you that the ecommerce website works!
To make your website, you will have to get hosting and a domain. The domain is free through the link in the video description but hosting costs $1.99 to 2.99 depending on the plan you choose (that's less than a cup of coffee). Hosting is your host server that stores your content and runs your website so it's what you need if you want to have your own online website. The difference between self-hosting, which is what we recommend and other platforms that just have you sign up and build a site is that the site is run by the platforms servers so they have ultimate control of your site (and it also costs most because they sell you on convenience).
This website is going to show you how to sign up for hosting, register your domain and install wordpress. Once we have wordpress installed, we'll go through the website settings to make sure it's set up correctly and then go and install the wordpress theme that we'll use to build the e-commerce website.
With a wordpress theme like the one we are using (Blocksy), you'll be able to choose a professionally designed starter template that imports a layout and demo content that you can build off of and customize. The theme also lets you customize the colors, font styles and layouts for your pages, including the product page, store page, header and footer.
This video will show you how to make all types of products including products with one option, variable products, virtual products, downloadable products, and affiliate products.
We will be learning how to make an online store with Woocommerce using the Elementor Pagebuilder. We'll show you everything you need to know in order to have a full ecommerce website. That means by the end, you'll have a homepage, about page, contact page, shop page and other pages recommended for your online shop. You'll also have all the tools and knowledge so that you can make your own pages and customize your website layout however you want.
*There are links and demo content available for you in this video description. They are resources that you can use to follow this video tutorial. You can also use your own images and create your own logo. Some of the links are affiliate links (no charge to you). Thank you in advance if you do click to use our links to go to websites.
