The proposed Internet Transactions Act will not affect e-commerce growth in the Philippines, says Laban Konsyumer President Atty. Vic Dimagiba. He says the proposed law will help secure consumers' rights, but he warns that the passage of the law may be a long haul as some lawmakers and online platforms voice their concerns over the measure. Dimagiba says their group will oppose any watered-down version of the law.
