On today’s podcast I had one of my former teammates from high school who has accomplished way more than me in the game of baseball! He has won an MVP, a World Series, Rookie of The Year, and was with the Chicago Cubs! Now he is a free agent, none other than Kris Bryant! Kris Bryant and I talked a lot about mindset in this podcast. We talked how he has overcome adversity to have his success. It was good to hear on my end that even a guy as talented as Kris Bryant struggles with the same self doubt, the same failures. In order to achieve his success, he was able to get over these humps and continue to push forward and have a ton of success. We go over some things he’s doing on the investing side, what it’s like facing the best players in the order, and how to adapt in the game of baseball and in the game of business as well! Kris Bryant and I talk a lot about his mindset that has allowed him to achieve major success. Kris Bryant was motivated from a young age not only in baseball, but in academics as well. Growing up, he just loved baseball and had a lot of fun doing it. Kris Bryant pushes that one needs to have fun in what they do, wether it’s in baseball or business! His unwillingness to accept failure made him who he is today.

Kris Bryant ended up being the number two overall pick for pro baseball. While that’s a huge accomplishment, knowing his mindset I asked if he was disappointed. While in the moment Kris Bryant was disappointed, he is still very proud of himself and it ended up being a great opportunity for him.

Kris Bryant is now a free agent. Kris Bryant talks about how this is a very new area of his life he’s entering. While for some this would be stressful for some, Kris Bryant is really just focused on enjoying his new free time and spending time with his son.
