Today I wanted to tell you more about Chinese Social Medias 2020. There are two hot apps, Douyin and Kuaishoi.
DOUYIN
Douyin 抖音 is the Tiktok of china. Its clearly the biggest SOCIAL MEDIA, and was; Dǒuyīn. It w was launched in China market in September 2016. The application allows users to create short music and lip-sync videos of 3 to 15 seconds and short looping videos of 3 to 60 seconds. This has come down to more dance videos then actual lip sync
Douyin is the biggest one, here are some stats:

86,8% retention rate after 7 days
57% is female, 43% male
More than half are 20-29 years old
Top users are the Their 1 cities, but other cities are using it as well
The biggest cities are Beijing, Shanghai, Choingqing, Chengdu
KUAISHOU
Kuaishou is a short-video platform that is in many ways similar to Douyin when it comes to features, UX and e-commerce integration. The difference is that Kuaishou focuses more on relationship rather than algothrytm based.
Kuaishou enables sales through e-commerce platform or by linking to a Taobao and other stores.
