Are you a Shopify dropshipper or eCommerce store owner selling products from China? Then you must know that Chinese New Year is the biggest disruption in your supply chain. Couriers in China are off for about 10 days, while factories are typically off for 15-40 days.

Taking time off to be with families and loved ones is such an important tradition for Chinese New Year that no one will be working in China during this period, including your suppliers. Even if they still work, nothing much can happen because everyone else is off.

What can you do then to get through this period of time? Is shutting down your store and pausing all ads the only option for CNY?

The answer is NO, IF you have a great agent and you prepare in advance. In today’s video, we will walk you through some tips on how to prepare your inventory (with your agent) and prepare your customers for Chines New Year, as well as whether or not you should shut your store during CNY.

In case you haven’t thought about Chinese New Year yet, here is the date: 12 Feb 2021. NOW is the time to start working on an inventory plan with your agent or suppliers if you do plan to sell during the period.

Once again, don’t rely on AliExpress sellers for Chinese New Year. Most small suppliers won’t be able to hold enough stock for you in advance.
