Brooks CEO on staying in front of competition: 'Innovation' is key

It's running season year-round and Brooks Running doesn't plan on stopping for a breather. The running shoe brand — owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-A, BRK-B) — reported an uptick in global revenue year-to-date while e-commerce sales sprinted ahead by 25% in the U.S.
Brooks Running CEO Jim Weber discusses the brand's wide appeal to runners of all skill levels, who are seemingly unhindered by Brooks' premium price points.
"One of the things that makes us unique is our obsession with runners and starting there," Weber tells Yahoo Finance on the variety of consumers that seek out the brand, later adding: "We're seeing customers willing to pay premium prices. so, the healthiest price points are $140, $160, $200 — that's new."
