Total demand for frontline jobs decreased by 17.5%, according to BetterPlace’s 2023 Frontline Index Report. In FY23, 6.6 million frontline jobs were created in India as compared to 8 million in FY22. On this edition of Startup Central, Avanne Dubash caught up with Pravin Agarwala, Group CEO & Co-Founder, BetterPlace. Logistics and Mobility replaced e-commerce as the largest contributor to frontline jobs at 45%. Women's participation ratio has increased from 3% to 6%. He attributes this change to an ESG push and sees this ratio rising to 20% by 2027. Listen in to trends he sees shaping up in the frontline workforce across the country.
