Hello guys, Meira here today. In this video, I’m talking about my top website builders for 2024. Over the years I’ve made many websites, so I know that the most important thing about creating and running a website is choosing the platform that you use to build, host, and manage your site.
Making the wrong choice will cause you so many headaches down the line, so it’s important that you know before you start out which platform is best for your type of business, what they offer, how much they cost, whether they can accommodate your site when you grow bigger, and what makes them a good fit for you. So, let’s get into it!
------------------------------------------------
Shopify
------------------------------------------------
Number one on my list is Shopify. If you want to sell stuff online, you can't go wrong with using a leading e-commerce platform that gives you everything you need to create and run a fully-functional online store. Shopify is an all-in-one solution for businesses of all sizes, and you don’t need any coding or design experience to build an online store, manage sales, market your products, and accept all kinds of digital or physical payments.
Shopify comes with all the tools you need integrated into the platform, so it’s ideal for those who are new to e-commerce. You run your e-commerce site from a streamlined dashboard, and if you need help with that, check out my Shopify tutorial which takes you through the basic steps from connecting your sales channels to setting up shipping. And although there’s a slight learning curve for first-timers, setting up a store using their customizable templates is fairly easy.
------------------------------------------------
Wix
------------------------------------------------
Next up is Wix, the biggest website building platform, and this is a great choice for personal sites and small businesses. Wix does offer advanced e-commerce capabilities for corporate and industrial clients, but it’s the easiest website builder for beginners, so this is a good choice if you have never made a website before.
Wix is a subscription service built on the freemium model, so you can make a website for free but it will feature Wix branding. To remove ads and access more features, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan which will include everything you need to make and maintain your website, from your domain to your hosting package, with tens of thousands of templates to customize with plugins and tools from their extensive app store.
------------------------------------------------
BigCommerce
------------------------------------------------
The next option is BigCommerce, and the name says it all. BigCommerce is all about business and this subscription e-commerce platform gives you everything you need to set up and run an online store, with great built-in sales tools, advanced search engine optimization, and a range of options to easily integrate your various sales channels.
Their pricing is based on the amount of sales you make each year, so BigCommerce is a good fit for bigger or established online businesses that are growing fast and need a platform that can accommodate their needs as they expand.
