Astra Theme
The Astra Theme has it all. It has almost 1.5 million active installs. Astra has a great rating and this counts for the free as well as the pro version. Astra is great for building normal webshops, but also for webshops, maybe even better. It has its own great pagebuilder (Spectra) but works flawlessly together with all mayor pagebuilders like for example Divibuilder and Elementor.
Astra is a WordPress theme marketed to both professionals and creatives. The theme supports portfolios, WooCommerce e-commerce plugins, and blogs. Brainstorm Force is the company that makes Astra. They claim this WordPress theme to be the best base for any website.
Astra's layouts allow you to create a custom website without having any programming or design knowledge. The header and footer features customizable menus, navigation and social links. The Astra theme allows you to customize page headers using rules and other unique functionality. With "Colors and Typography" you can create your own color scheme to match your brand and style. Pages can create sidebars which will only display on specific pages and not globally. This allows you to control content strategy, cross-linking, and branding.
The Astra theme is loaded in seconds and provides a smooth experience for users. Astra only uses 50K resources. Your WordPress site will function and be stable with professional back-end code and design. Astra uses self-hosted Google Fonts, which are stored locally on your server. This creates a responsive interface.
Avada Theme
Avada can be used to create a website, but you must consider the amount of time and learning curve you'll need to go through. Fusion Page Builder uses shortcodes, so it is a content-locking tool. You will need to start from scratch if you want to switch themes. This is why I don't recommend using a Page-Builder that's tied to a theme. Avada is a theme that's often described as being too slow.
Websites are more effective when they use less. Avada gives you more. You'll get many things you don't need or want. It's what they call "bloat". This is not what the user wants. It slows down the WordPress backend and locks the user into the theme. Cost should be considered. The license for the website costs $69 Most themes allow unlimited installations for the same or lower price.
Support is only available for six months, and you'll have to pay $49 per website per year if any issues arise. It is worth looking into. Maybe you should check out the best themes for 2023 before you make a decision https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CYs8If_YYQ
