Amazon will be a top performing mega-cap in 2024: Jefferies Senior Analyst Brent Thill

Though the Magnificent Seven mega-cap tech stocks dominated markets in 2023, Jefferies Senior Analyst Brent Thill tells Yahoo Finance Live their upside looks more limited in 2024 amid a broader "good year" for tech.
Thill predicts gains will prove to expand beyond the seven tech giants, instead broadening out to more small and mid-cap names. With economic uncertainty fading and demand solid across sectors, he notes 2024's upside "won't be as concentrated as it was last year."
In mega-caps, Amazon (AMZN) is Jefferies' top pick given the still-growing momentum in its AWS cloud segment, e-commerce retail, and the company's ability to "harvest pandemic investments."
