Also according to the new policy, these platforms will provide consumers the details of sellers, like contact details and customer complaint contact. The product details on the website will include information like country of origin and value of work done in India. The reason behind this rigorous policy is to maintain banned Chinese apps from India. The e-commerce companies will be given a window of 72 hours to present the government with information and are required to store their data locally.
