In this video, we’ll focus on editing the automation workflow settings.
To access the workflow settings from the Emails step of the Automation Builder, we’ll click Edit Settings.
In the Workflow configuration section, the Workflow name, From name, and From email address, are pre-populated with the information we provided. These settings tell our recipients who is sending them the email, and where their replies are sent. We can also select to have an activity digest email sent to us daily to see how our workflow is performing, enable Conversations so we can view and respond to replies from inside our mailchimp account, and personalize the “To” field if we would like to include merge tags in our emails. These settings can also be manually changed when we design our individual emails.
In the Tracking section, open and click tracking options are enabled by default. Google Analytics link tracking is also enabled for accounts integrated with Google Analytics. If a store is connected to the Mailchimp account, E-commerce link tracking is also enabled. If we’d like to add more tracking options we can select those here. Tracking options include plain text, clicktale, goal, and salesforce email stats and member activity.
In the More Options section, we have the option to auto-convert videos that may be embedded in our emails. This will tell Mailchimp to scan the email for embedded videos and convert those to email-friendly video merge tags.
Once we have all of our options selected, we’ll click Update Settings to return to the automation builder.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully created a custom automated email and are ready to send it out to your subscribers as they join your audience. For more information about automated emails, check out our guides and tutorials.
